“There are decades where nothing happens; and there are weeks where decades happen.”

This quote perfectly depicts the recent unveiling of the Mulungushi University ECampus in partnership with Astria Learning. The event took place at Avani Victoria Falls Resort Hotel in the tourist capital of Zambia, Livingstone alongside the just ended Zambia Association of Public Universities and Colleges (ZAPUC) second international conference. The conference was convened and officiated by the Minister of Higher Education Dr. Eng. Brian Mushimba on October, 21st 2020 with Astria Learning as a Platinum Sponsor.
Mulungushi University Vice Chancellor, Prof. Hellicy Ng’ambi expressed that the institution is excited to continue partnering with Astria Learning which has been a backbone to the Higher Education sector in Zambia through its support and delivery of eLearning systems to Universities and Colleges.
Prof. N’gambi reinforced the urge by Higher Education Minister, Dr. Brian Mushimba for institutions to think outside the box in enhancing their enrollments and service delivery by turning to online learning systems.
“Our coming together once again, with Astria Learning is to proactively respond to, in terms of Post Graduate trend by offering not just ‘normal’ distance learning but an ecampus to allow one to get the competency and skill to succeed anywhere in the world.” Prof Ng’ambi said.
She further states that it is time for every key stakeholder in the education sector to recognize and acknowledge elearning benefits as transferring to the digital realm is the new normal, and this goes for all types of organizations existing. She adds that going digital will empower educational institutions to offer high-quality education without the traditional classroom setting, allowing students to attain valuable skills from anywhere.
Astria Learning Founder and CEO, Dr. Jeff Bordes also had a word at the conference, highlighting the importance of the newly ecampus programs to the development and impact in creating leaders with highly marketable business skills.
“We have been tested by the COVID 19 and is it now possible for one to access quality education from the comforts of their homes,” Dr. Bordes said.
Dr. Bordes believes that the programs will attract individuals and students outside the borders of Zambia which would further the relations with other countries around the globe.
He emphasized that the programs are of demand on the market and that prospects should sign up through the Mulungushi University website.
The great news is that the Mulungushi ECampus will be the first to offer Masters of Business Leaders (MBL) and Doctorate of Business Administration 100% online.
